John and Bipasha have got to be the dumbest people ever... and last nights episode makes me wonder on the credibility of KBC... and TV (but then thats another story!)

I saw only 5 odd minutes of the show and here is what I saw -

Question for 6,40,000 rupees - What was Naseeruddin Shah's character called in League of extraordinary gentlemen?
1) Ishmael
2) Tom Sawyer
3) Capt Nemo
4) Dorian Grey

So I forgive them not being very well versed with their literature. But these guys act like its the toughest question in the history of quizzing... and they decide to use phone a friend.
Dial Rohan Sippy (who acc to Bacchan saab is a very bright young man) and this fool doesnt know the answer as well. So they use another lifeline - audience poll. And wonder of wonders... the audience rates Ishmael the highest and Capt Nemo as number two. Gross.

So then these guys think something is wrong there... and Bips gets an 'instinct' or some such vague thing. John think the character looked like a shippie (from what he remembered) and so they randomly decide to go for Capt Nemo. If they had lost on that instinct, they wouldve been down to 20,000 rupees.

And then wonder of wonders.. they win... and Bacchan says 'never mess with a womans gut feel' or crap.

I was quite irritated by then, so I decided to go back and watch Parineeta for the fifth time. :D
