1st-Dec-2009 04:29 pm - The Celibate Life
When we were just about to leave Colorado and drive into Kansas, even though I was the potted plant sitting there and going 'loook! Rainbow-cloud-doggie-hairy cow' I had this moment of utter panic as I sat there and watched the snow fall. It was early morning- at least by our standards it was- 9 am maybe or even 10 am. There in front of us lay snow for miles and miles and miles. A long winding road that snaked through it till it disappeared into the immaculate powdery snow looked like it would lose its purpose amongst soon enough. If it kept at finding its purpose long enough, that is.

That was also the moment when I caught a glimpse of Lonely and Alone cozying up in bed together.

You'll learn to live like a mouse,
Searching the cracks in the floor to remember
All the dregs in the crowd you barely recall
Troitskoye Predmestye (Trinity Suburb, Траецкае прадмесце) is a historical area in Minsk, it's situated on left bank of the river Svisloch.

A lot of suburb's buildings were not kept till our time. Nevertheless, the western part of Trinity Suburb has been restored in XX century. It isn't historical reconstruction, some buildings are graceful stylization. Nevertheless, walking in this small suburb is very pleasant.

Hello, an indian man (my husband) is looking for a shared accomodation in Mumbai. He's ready to pay 3-4 thousand rupees per month. He needs to stay in Mumbai for 2-3 months only, so there's no question of paying for the whole year in advance. I can assure you that he's very decent and has no bad habits. If anyone knows anything about rooms for rent please do contact me.

30th-Nov-2009 05:10 pm - my final week at GDV
Well this is my final week at GuideDogs; we made it! Joy was pleased to see me this morning; she was playing with her kong while she was waiting for me in my room; bless her!
This morning we went to Cue for a short tram ride, then walked about a block back to the bus.
This afternoon we did a group walk around Balwyn passing a pet shop along the huge block where I bought Joy a squeaky toy as we don't have any. As Heartly was never into them at all, I got so use to my life without worrying about them, but now I'll have to get use to tripping over them once in a while I'd say!
When we got back from the walk, Jane and Aaron had a chat to us about the happenings of tomorrow; the vet is coming to give our dogs checks, then we'll be going into the city.
It'll be kinda weird as on the one hand, I'm so looking forward to bringing Joy home, but on the other hand, that's it for Heartly's long-term living at my house.
Ginamarie has been teaching me this song complete with actions she does in her choir; "Joy To the World"; not the christmas carrol, but another one which has been around for ages, but I hadn't heard it before; it's awesome! She taught me the actions for the chorus Friday, and today, the first verse; tomorrow it will be the second one, Lol!
B came over Sat night which was awesome! He hadn't stayed at my place before.

Just place things n papers in the available space as soon as they arrive without bothering about what should go where. And in 15 minutes, your cubicle will look like Amazon :)

BTW, that bulge ain't no tummy. That has something to do with new camera and special effects :P

27th-Nov-2009 04:02 pm - Bahamas
Last week a friend and I took a 3-day cruise to Nassau, the Bahamas, for a quick little vacation break. I had never been on a cruise before and wasn't sure if I'd like it -- the thought of not being to get off the boat wreaked havoc with my control issues, hehe.

Here are a few pictures...

Gift set, originally uploaded by peeyush.

Apart from their good wills and best wishes, my friends have gifted me with loads of goodies.

Here's the second set of gifts that adorn walls of my cubicle -
Gift set - II

Each one of these carry affections in it, cheering me up every moment I spend in office. It's way too overwhelming and I just don't know how to ever thank each one of you enough.

Thank you :)

I had worn a new tshirt today. The T-shirt looked quite different with patterns and color so me ended up buying it. Didn't really pay that much attention to the message it was carrying.

A couple of people complimented - "Wow, nice message!". So, me getting happier after receiving yet one more compliment in a day, decided to read it. Bent my neck only to realize that I can't read inverted letters. Me then rushes to washroom only to get teh second realization that I can't read message that mirror reflected back to me.

Reminded me of the times when I used to feel bad about not being able to see how I really look like. No photo or video can capture the visions of real you.

27th-Nov-2009 02:14 pm - the final part of week 3
So we lost two of the ppl from our group; Darryl left Wednesday afternoon for the bike ride and dave left last night; so I finally moved on to the girls table.
This morning we ended up doing some work on the trains. First of all Conny and I had a drink and biscuit in the CAFE near fairfeild station while Sharon and GenaMarie went on the train, then we swapped around. I had been quite looking forward to seeing how Joy is on the trains; she proved great!
Then we left after lunch by 1 as there was a farewell lunch on for one of the retiring staff members.
I felt so so sad to leave Joy in my room; sad for her and me. But it's only this weekend, then they get to come home with us next weekend.
Mum is going to drop Heartly around later, so it will be awesome to see her again! I've now got two brilliant doggies!
All for now!

26th-Nov-2009 10:15 pm - My new cell number
I have opted for a new service provider as somehow the dolphin network wasn't improving and was turning out to be costlier affair compared to other providers. Now that it is my not so humble responsibility of sharing my cell number with all of you, I decided to pose it as puzzle just like last time :)

Follow the given hints to unravel the cell code
- 12 digit number (including country code [India])
- My cell number happens to be anagram of 051019782009. 05101978 happens to be my date of birth and 2009 happens to be current year.
- It starts with largest digit and ends with the median of series 1..9
- Number X (greater than 2 [clause introduced to remove ambiguity, courtesy Aparna]) is positioned Xth position from right.
- Three 0s hang together leaving one 0 sandwiched between 8 and 9
- Taking cube of the last digit happens to be the number formed from the last three digits (in the same order [clause introduced to remove ambiguity, courtesy Srinivas])

And yeah, your replies are marked to be screened till the coming wednesday.

Well yesterday afo we got our class photo taken with our dogs, then we split up; the boys went to do transport work since they're leaving for the Great Victorian Bike ride, Sharon and I went to do a block walk, which was really quite hot and tiring. The others did a walk along the yarra. J came over last night for dinner which was good; we had a roast; nice! :) Then we all just had a chat and a laugh. J brought me some Hayges chocolate which was really nice of her! She left about 9, and I continued socializing for a while. went to bed about 10.30. Dogs and humans alike were zonked.
This morning we did some more traffic work, then we went to a CAFE for drinks and bites to eat.
After lunch we experienced a pretty bad storm, and the dogs all seemed rather frightened; but it was said that maybe they were all just winding each other up. Heartly was never scared of thunder, so it remains to be seen whether Joy is really a wimp or not, Lol Lol! (it's raining now).
We had a lecture inside from Jane, then we did some social obedience with the dogs which was interesting. We were telling the instructors (who were acting like strange members of the public who were making a rather big fuss of the dogs) how to go about patting the
And that was our day. about to go feed Joy soon and chat to B.

Summary: friendship bracelet,jewelry
Description:

links of london applies the well-informed shape charm bracelets to present its latest series: links of london friendship bracelet, opening a distinctive kind of trend. The great designing essence of links of london as a popular jewelry brand is well revealed from the exhibition of friendship bracelet in which the super model Karen Elson is the leading actress. The original idea of links of london keys is from the "keys" treasured by links of london. All of them which are out of the hand of skillful silversmith and goldsmith are very delicate, peculiar, and classic. Mostly they are the key to jewelry box, collection box, album, diary, luggage, and even the door of a private club or a country manor. Nevertheless, the romantic "talisman" is now derived into links of london key series and those old stories also relocated themselves from the typical pendants and other ornaments of links of london. With profound history and high quality, the links of london keys are hung on round or oval link, while the sweetie bracelet are made of 18K gold, platinum set with diamond, or genuine silver. So the traditional "keys" have new meanings here. The key in the shape of medal indicates the confidence and promise in achieving success. The romantic heart-shaped key seems to guide the mystic and loyal love. The flower-shaped key which is filled with poetic taste shows the attraction of female to the full. And the key that is set with shining diamond will bring you to a differently luxurious world. Besides, whether you wear the links of london keys separately or several ones together, they can always reveal the fashion bear with them. As the guider of secret, they give all of us a lot of space to imagine, enjoying endless romance as well as the sweet and warmth of love.

25th-Nov-2009 09:17 am - we're all dead
Well we had such a busy day yesterday and humans and dogs alike seem to be feeling rather dead today.
As said yesterday we went to Doncaster Shopping Town in the afo which was great; dogs worked so well. Then we went on a night walk around fairfield in the evening once it got dark around 9; it was also a great experience.
We're not use to doing three walks a day, just two, so that's why we feel so dead.
And, I've been having trouble getting Joy to use to toilet harness. She was apparently using it well before training, but she got out of the habbit, and this morning was the first success I had with it! let's hope it continues.
The others are out doing traffic work at the moment, and Sharon and I will be going out next. Sharon is using her apple Mak, and I'm using this big puter belonging here. If I had my little acer, I could have brought that, though the wifi doesn't seem to work in the rooms.
J is coming tonight for dinner; fun times! Will have to groom Joy so I can show her off in the best possible way, Lol!
Bout all for now; more as it happens.

24th-Nov-2009 01:24 pm - the highlight of my day .. not
At lunch before, John Gosling was talking to us. I hadn't seen him in years, so we're having a convo, and something (we were eating focartias), got caught in my throat, and of course I started choking; couldn't breathe, all that kinda deal. So I'm standing up, trying to get someone to like do something. John came over and told me he'd mind my dog, I'm thinking "yeh thanks, but um, I need a drink and I can't find the jug; moreover, i frankly couldn't do a lot but try to breathe and cough.
Anyway eventually Christina came over and poured a drink when I nodded to her question that yes, it's what I wanted. So then I was fine but had all these tears in my eyes which I wiped with a tissue that Chris gave to me. Ron came over; so I had a lot of fuss made at the end, but not to start with, *grrr* wow, that was embarrassing, especially in front of the former head of guide dogs, but he understood and sympathized with me.
This morning we went for a pretty long walk around Cue, and Joy just continues to listen more and more to me; it's such a good feeling.
At about 2, we're all heading off to Doncaster Shopping centre to do a bit of work around there; it will be a lot of fun; I've always loved shopping centres and am determine to be able to work more in them with Miss Joy. Then after tea, after dark, we are going on our night walk.

23rd-Nov-2009 09:14 pm - TV Serials
Indian Television is back to mythology/history era. Front runner would be Sagar Arts/Films/Whatever.

Sagar folks were instrumental in raising Ekta Kapoor production to the level where it existed a couple of years back. It was Sagar creation wherein every actor were made to recite same dialogues three times in a row with glycerin in eyes and cough syrup in mouth. Could you ever guess from where did Ekta Kapoor Incl learnt to play loud background music with every entry and exit of every actor including even for extras; Why everyone repeats same lines multiple times sometimes confusing you whether those are genuine repetitions or echo reflections or audio malfunctions. Sorry, I got distracted slightly. The objective of today's post is to do a not so deep analysis of Meera Serial.

I have lot of respect for the great devotee that Meera was. I love her bhajans and the love they reflect giving satisfactions to ones heart. It is quite painful to see Sagar folks abusing her biography under names of historical research. Seeing the latest episode a couple of minutes back lead me to thinking if Sagar could make mess of a devotee of their beloved god how much more damage could Ekta Kapoor Inc have done. But if it were for her home production, one thing is for sure - the serial would not have been named "Meera". It would have been rather "Kahani Meera ki" or may be simply kimeera (No, this name has nothing to do with Chimera of Mission Impossible 2 movie). For that matter even Sagar folks could have used Kimeera considering that Meera, villagers and cattles have been poisoned regularly by the King across their last 50 episodes. Or the serial could also be had been called Meeracles considering that every poisoning attempts is defied miraculously... sorry, Meera-culously.

Jokes apart, it hurts. Sometimes even leading to thoughts that probably these "mythological" stories and/or serials are responsible why people are not able to see god around them. Because they can link presence of God only if some sort of miracle happens. A god has to prove his/her existence only if he/she can do something supernatural. But then the modern belief is to link a non-ordinary entity to be either a alien (Koi mil gaya & E.T.C) or mutant (Kyon mil gaya). Only God knows who all it would need to compete with to prove his/her identity in modern world.

Funny, why can't he/she be around you as your friend or in yourself within your emotions, your feelings.
